  • Targeted development and maintenance of mental health requires defining the nature of influence of psychogenic stress and emotions as factors that play a significant role in the manifestation of mental health.
    We present the data confirming the key role of psychogenic stress in the development of about 22% of the total number (416) of nosological units of mental and behavioral disorders, the heterogeneity of factors and mechanisms of somato-visceral and psychogenic stress evolution, functional diminution and premature biological degradation of vital physiological systems resulting from chronic stress.
    We also introduce the concepts of etiopathogenic-psychogenic stress, sanogenic and dissanogenic emotions, sanoindicators of sanogenic emotions, phenomenological dissanoindicators of psychogenic stress and dissanogenic emotions are exposed.
